I wanted to show some of my studies, technical writing, and collaboration done at Oregon State University and other programs. One was with the Usability Engineering course and the second was with the Software Development I course. These projects are unfinished and are for study purposes. The names of all the students in both groups are at the beginning of each Student Project.

• LiDAR Geospatial Image – created using Python, OpenTopography, Lidar point classification, Open3D viewer, and libraries like Numpy and Laspy.
• Animal Crossing: Data Analysis – created using Python, JavaScript, and D3.
• JavaScript Frameworks – created using React, JavaScript, and API (e.g., pulling data from external datasource).
• Spatial AI: Mapping the Mind of the Machine – A Scrolltelling on how LiDAR can be used to map Smart Cities and Infrastructures, to study the Carbo Cycle in deep forests, and to use LLMs for Smart Cars. I created this Scrolltelling using Mapping tools, writing Python (e.g., numpy, laspy, and open3d), JavaScript, D3, and OpenTopography.
• The Trade-Off: Human Work vs. Machine Power: This is a study on how effective and beneficial it is for Users to vibe-code, edit AI’s code, and to use AI to develop a web-based app, like a Scrolltelling.

   Should I use AI or write/code this project myself. Without AI, this work would take about 2 weeks to complete. With AI, it took less than 8 hours.

   I decided to go full-meta in choosing this topic; I asked the questions: If AI saves human work, what does it cost to replace it? What is the cost to humans?

   ChatGPT and Gemini to summarize the story and plan. I also used Cursor to vibe-code this scrolltelling. Languages: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and D3.js. I have spent months reading up on this topic, and the planning/theme of this project is based on my initial studies.

   Most of the time (e.g., weeks/months) was spent studying this subject and reading articles to understand this issue. While I did rewrite some parts of the code to clean up the code and make the graphics and text understandable, Cursor is a very highly developed tool in producing scrolltelling.
• Weather App – After taking 2 courses from Oregon State University (OSU) and Udemy, I had designed an API call on a webpage that I later turned into a prototype of a weather app using the OpenWeatherMap API.
• Colors Compliant with 508 – This is a Color Study, using colors that are compliant with Section 508 and WCAG. Specifically, it shows a contrast in Colors (e.g., blue versus orange) and Saturation (e.g. intensity of color), taking into account the U.S. Web Design System (USWDS). I worked on the Color choices and Dataset (LOTR/Lord of the Rings). Using the characters and relationships from LOTR, a Knowledge Graph easily shows the relationships between the peoples and characters.
• Knowledge Graphs – are used in AI Tools and Search Engines. Besides the one above this item, these are additional Knowledge Graphs to study relationships between people and characters. One is on Stephan Hawking’s life and the other is a character study from Pride and Prejudice. These images were created using Python, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, scraping text from websites like Wikipedia.
